Frequently Asked QuestionsCANCELATION POLICY
It is not Ski Challenge policy to cancel or postpone races, however, in the event of very severe weather, only the team captains should call the Ski Challenge office. We will also post an announcement on the website and social media. We will do all we can to make up canceled races. We cannot issue refunds for canceled races that cannot be made up. Check here for updates on cancellations throughout the season.
MORE INFO ON CANCELATIONSINJURIES
If you sustain an injury prior to the start of the season which will prohibit you to race and you have already paid please contact the office. If you sustain an injury during the season which will prohibit you from further racing you need to first try and find a replacement to “buy” your spot.
REFUNDS
Ski Challenge does NOT give refunds if the season takes place. If you are unable to participate after the season has started, you are welcome to “sell” your spot and get a replacement. Your replacement must check in at the Ski Challenge registration table in order for the change to be made. Ski Challenge does not sell spots on a per-week basis. NO REFUNDS DUE TO CANCELLATIONS OR RACES YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND. No refunds due to weather.
CAPTAINS
As a captain, you are responsible for:
- Getting a Deposit in to hold your team spot by September 15, 2024
- Filling your team of 10 racers
- Making sure everyone on your team registers and pays on time
- Getting your desired running order in
- Informing your team of all rules and information
- Informing your team of any cancelations or schedule changes
- Signing your team up for Championships at Giants Ridge
Existing Team
If you are an existing team, look for an e-mail sent to captains in July. This e-mail will invite captains to hold a team spot for the upcoming season by registering their team and paying a deposit. A deposit consists of payment for one team spot. This deposit is non-refundable even if the team does not end up existing. You have first dibs on your existing spot in your particular race series as an existing team. After September 15, you may lose your spot if the team spot has not been reserved and a deposit has not been received. It will be eliminated if an existing team is NOT reserved by October 31.
TEAM DEPOSIT FORMNew Team
If you want to form a new team, contact the Ski Challenge Office to get your name on the captain’s e-mail list. You may add your team to any race series that has room. Some race series events may be full unless an existing team does not return. Call 952-894-9220 or e-mail [email protected]

You are allowed to guest race two times per regular season race league. The fee is $15. We recommend all guests register and pay online at least TWO hours before course inspection. If you cannot do this, you can show up at the hill, pay, and sign up there. Follow this link to register: GUEST REGISTRATION .
If you plan on racing more than twice for a specific league and there are still open spots on teams, you will need to join the league. If all spots in the entire league are filled, you may race as a guest more than twice per league.
