Race to help Hannah / Gear up for Championships Practice and Race

We have changed the format for Saturday at Buck Hill due to the expected High Temperatures for the day.  See the Schedule below!

Wild Mountain Race has been canceled due to the small number of pre-registrations.  If you were planning on coming to Wild Mountain on Sunday, you can still join us on Saturday at Buck Hill.

This is a great opportunity to get some practice and fun racing in before Championships Weekend.  Invite your friends to come out and try it!  You can participate in either day or both!

$30 – per person

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY – BUCK HILL –  CHANGED

  • 9 am – Check in begins – Whittier Room (next to Tucker’s)
  • 10:30 –   Race Begins – Everyone gets two timed runs in each course – we will take your best time in each for scoring
  • 11:30 – 12:15 – Run gates as much as you want
  • 12:30 pm – Awards

Crystal Lake will have a lunch “pre-order prior to the start of the race.  They will have your food ready for you when you come in.

What are we racing for?

A portion of the proceeds from our day this year will be going to Hannah Kiresuk.  Hannah’s family have been long time members of the ski racing community.  At the age of 16, Hannah was diagnosed with Juvenile Myasthenia Gravis (MG). As she got older, her MG became more severe.

Unfortunately, there are very few treatments for MG that are FDA approved and that includes Bone Marrow Transplants. Insurance at this point has denied coverage even though the family has petitioned for reconsideration. That means they need to find a way to pay out of pocket for the full amount of the transplant, about $500,000.

Children’s Organ Transplant Association is having another race Saturday night, February 27 at Buck Hill for a Fundraiser for Hannah.
